SPN 5571 FMI 7 — High-pressure fuel rail relief valve open

SPN 5571 identifies the parameter the control module is monitoring — high-pressure fuel rail relief valve open. FMI 7 is the failure mode the module logged against it. Both numbers matter: the same SPN with a different FMI is a different repair.

Sudden power loss; rail pressure will not build.

• Relief valve popped from a pressure spike
• Failing high-pressure pump
• Leaking injector

• Watch commanded versus actual rail pressure
• Run a return flow test on the injectors
• Replace the relief valve after finding the cause
