SPN 105 FMI 0 — Intake manifold air temperature high

SPN 105 identifies the parameter the control module is monitoring — intake manifold air temperature high. FMI 0 is the failure mode the module logged against it. Both numbers matter: the same SPN with a different FMI is a different repair.

Derate, poor performance, elevated EGTs.

• Plugged charge air cooler
• Failed CAC fan shroud or debris
• Coolant temp already high

• Wash out the CAC and radiator fins
• Check fan operation
• Verify the CAC for internal restriction

Work the list in order and record the readings. Confirm the fault with live data before any part is ordered — a code names a circuit, never a failed component.
